Democracy, rule of law, LGBTQ* rights and peace gone astray?
t the latest since the Russian inversion in Ukraine on 24 February 2022, Eastern Europe has moved into the global political spotlight. Just now it is becoming all the more clear how important human rights and freedom of expression are. Even within the EU, the dismantling of democracy through restrictions on the rule of law, influence on the media and the anti-LGBTQ* course of the Polish PiS party and Hungary's Prime Minister Victor Orban has already become apparent in recent years. Focusing on the LGBTQ* situation and culture, Chris interviewed brave people from Eastern Europe.
